The Role:
**To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.**
The Facilities Maintenance Engineer performs work involving the skills of maintenance to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and the building infrastructure in good working order. Conducts preventive maintenance (PM) and Repair maintenance, facility or equipment improvement projects and service and repairs in the areas of, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, construction and machine servicing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.:
- Maintain facility operations including organization, maintenance, and safety of the facility.
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment including but not limited to, Fire Suppression systems, Alarm systems, and Elevators.
- Performs PM procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
- Document results of PM and Emergency repair activities.
- Diagnose problems and determine how to correct them, checking diagrams, drawings, blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Performs electrical repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, power circuits and appliances; repairs lighting systems; assist in computer cable runs; inspects electrical systems for unsafe conditions; maintains and regularly test working condition of safety equipment including fire alarm, emergency lighting, and intercom systems.
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Supports production operations as required for preventive maintenance, maintenance and repairs as required for facilities and equipment.
- Support facility and equipment repairs involving one or more of the following areas: carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing; thermal chambers, vibration test systems and circuit board manufacturing machines.
- Perform or support facility build-out or construction projects.
- Supports the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Able to perform routine maintenance in an unsupervised manner when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Strong background in facilities maintenance with working knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and computer operating systems.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies on and on-call basis.
- Hands-on operations with both large and small, fragile assemblies.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Two year degree or equivalent from a college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver's License Required
- US Citizenship Required
- 2+ years of experience working with and troubleshooting electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
- 2+ years of experience operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools.
- Previous experience with either pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical systems.
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery including forklifts and aerial platforms.
- Must be experienced in Microsoft operating systems and software; intermediate skill level for Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift and/or move moderatly heavy materials and equipments, up to 50 lbs.
- Physical effort includes standing, lifting, carrying, and working in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to support standard business hours, and be willing and able to work extended hours during week and weekends to support business needs.
