Dental Assistant
We are looking for a friendly, multi-tasking dental assistant to join our team.
Summary: Assist the Doctor with dental functions and prepare/clean treatment areas.
Responsibilities:
Prepare work areas by stocking, setting up, breaking down, and cleaning/sterilizing.
Verify lab cases and ensure proper trays are set up for scheduled patients.
Seat patients, complete treatments, and provide pre- and post-operative instructions.
Update the Practice Management Software with findings and recommended treatments.
Take necessary X-rays as prescribed, following the Radiographic Imaging Policy (RIP).
Assist the Doctor chairside with procedures and maintain patient flow.
Maintain dental office equipment, including the suction system, X-ray processor, and sterilization equipment.
Follow all company policies and procedures, with a focus on patient care and safety.
Non-Essential Tasks:
Support office personnel by setting and confirming appointments and filling schedules.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a board-approved dental assisting program and pass a national board examination preferred.
Certified Dental Assistant preferred.
Radiology Certification.
CPR Certification.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, and order processing systems.
