JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in accordance with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain the Maintenance Shop areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition at all times.
Conduct his/her work in a professional, skilled manner in compliance with safety and plant rules and good manufacturing practices.
Assist other personnel as needed to supply tools, parts, and communication with other areas of the plant in order to help maintenance work proceed in a smooth and efficient manner.
Complete work in a safe manner, in compliance with OSHA and plant safety rules.
Maintain Food Safe conditions when working in the facility
Establish and perform Predictive, Precision, and Preventative Maintenance practices on the mill equipment
Establish and Maintain a documented inventory process of spare parts, tools, and equipment
Fabricate and weld parts and repairs as needed.
Document work completed including parts used and other data as required
QUALFICATIONS:
Must be able to read/comprehend English.
At least (3 years) of experience in production or maintenance related work
Must be experienced with computer software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold. Ability to work in elevated areas and confined spaces.
Ability to work in dusty environments, including wheat and grain dust
Must be able to perform maintenance trades including welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication and mechanical maintenance.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: People in this position shall have the following qualifications:
Able to lift 100 pounds on occasion, 50 pounds frequently
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, and other equipment manipulation. Exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of
20 pounds of force regularly to move objects.
Able to work in elevated positions and on mobile aerial equipment
Able to work in a crouched position
Able to ascend and descend multiple level ladders
Able to work in confined spaces
Able to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
Able to work in flour and wheat dust environment
Able to work in hot and cold environments
Must be able to clearly communicate in English, both written and verbally.
Must hold a current valid driver’s license
Available for off-shift and call-in work

Knowledgeable on lubrication
Leader in preventative maintenance
5S or Six Sigma experience (organized)
Welding experience (MIG and TIG)
VFD and PLC experience preferred
