JOB SUMMARY:
To provide support in the Guest Dining Department with special emphasis as a Kitchen Utility worker.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with basic food preparation when needed.
- Assists with food deliveries as directed by the supervisor.
- Seeks to develop capabilities in the area of basic food preparation.
- Performs dishwashing responsibilities, which require that silverware, dishware, pots and pans, etc., be cleaned to sanitation requirements and to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintains the dish machines and dishwashing areas in the appropriate facilities following sanitation guidelines.
- Maintains the Forest Center dumbwaiter, and the stairs following sanitation guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Actively supports and participates in staff spiritual life activities, including Staff Devotions and Staff Retreat.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Some restaurant experience a plus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate office machines. Requires mild physical work; some lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 20 pounds. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud at times.
