We are a well-established manufacturer of molded plastic injection parts. Our company is growing again and we need a skilled Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Position Overview:
As a Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring all equipment, tools and systems are primed and ready for production. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with specific experience working within a plastic injection molding environment. This role requires a high level of organization and self-motivation to ensure things continue to run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct routine maintenance and repair of plastic injection molding machinery, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
· Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
· Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions, and implement effective solutions to minimize production disruptions.
· Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, repairs, and parts inventory.
Qualifications:
· 3-5 yrs experience working as a maintenance technician within a plastic injection molding operation.
· Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
· Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Technical certification or associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
