Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to perform welding processes such as MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW).
- Ability to weld components in flat, overhead or vertical positions.
- Plasma Cutting
- Must be able to operate hand tools and equipment such as Grinders, Drills, Buffing Wheels, Saws, etc.
- Fabricate and weld various metal components according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Responsible for the layout, cutting, and permanently joining metal parts together through the application of appropriate welding techniques.
- Conduct hydro, air, and tolerance tests on welded parts to verify weld quality and conformance to specification.
- Read blueprints and drawings to identify welding measurements and position.
- Conduct assessments with safety protocols by wearing protective gloves, clothing, mask, and boots.
Required Skills:
- Use hand tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
- Perform quality control checks to ensure finished products meet standard
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Math skills, physical stamina, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding
- Proficiency in using hand tools and operating machinery
- Knowledge of ductwork fabrication and installation
- Experience with pipe threading and machining is a plus\
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of basic math principles
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
