Job Summary:
As a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor at Dollar General, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all maintenance processes, equipment, and facilities. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment for our diesel mechanics.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of diesel technicians and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, including routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
- Oversee diesel vehicle maintenance, including transmission, brake repair, and heavy equipment operation.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to guide maintenance procedures.
- Assemble and disassemble machinery and equipment as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
- Maintain electrical systems, troubleshoot electrical problems, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Skills:
- Proficient in transmitting instructions clearly to the maintenance team.
- Experience with crane operations for lifting heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of diesel maintenance, including brake repair and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Familiarity with shocks, struts, and other automotive components.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain maintenance schedules effectively.
- Electrical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems.

Pay: $66,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
