A mid-size, NYC law firm actively seeks a Labor & Employment Associate. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of hands-on experience in the management side of employment matters, both in litigation and preventive counseling. Litigation experience should include defense of federal, state, and local statutory employment law claims, and wage and hour matters. On the client counseling side, the candidate will be expected to research and draft employment policies, employment, severance, and related agreements, and regularly provide general employment compliance counseling to clients. Experience with prevailing wage, traditional labor law (including NLRB matters and benefit fund litigation) and restrictive covenant matters are also a plus.
