We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist (PhD), Social Worker (LCSW), or Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our innovative program as the Division Assistant Director.
Job Summary:
The Montefiore Wellness Center Division of Services for Addiction is the largest medical school affiliated treatment program in the United States. Our program provides comprehensive substance abuse treatment along with on-site medical and psychiatric healthcare for over 3,500 patients.
The Assistant Director will be part of the central DOSA leadership team across the 3 Wellness Centers spanning 300,000 annual visits and 200 staff. They will be responsible to assist with the clinical and administrative operations at the DoSA Wellness centers, including directly managing HR/Labor Relations issues (e.g., time/attendance, performance), recruitment of staff, on-boarding and off-boarding staff, regulatory compliance, and special grants/projects. The Assistant Director will work collaboratively with other senior leadership at DoSA including the Director of Finance, Director of Billing, the Medical Director, Facilities Manager, Senior Coordinator of Social Services, and the Administrative Nurse Manager. The position will work at all three DoSA locations and will be directly supervised by the Director of the Division.
JOB DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Responsible for assisting with the clinical and regulatory operation of DoSA and grant programs. Ensures that all locations have administrative and clinical coverage. Provide assistance to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations and standards for clinical treatment. Makes on-site inspections of program operations and provides guidance at the sites to staff.
- Assist with defining, managing, and monitoring clinical productivity. Meet with program staff to ensure staff is meeting program expectations. Assist with workflow recommendations to improve patient care.
- Review, revise, and assist in the development of program policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with bargaining unit and state and federal labor practices. Oversees labor relations issues including counseling employees with time/leave problems and/or work performance problems.
- Interfaces with MMC Human Resources/Recruiting to facilitate filling of vacant positions including advertising, and scheduling of job interviews. Coordinates with all DoSA hiring managers to ensure efficient screening, interviewing, and selection of individuals to fill vacant positions within the programs.
- Works with software vendors and Montefiore IT Department to ensure that they meet compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations, as well as standards for clinical treatment.
- Provide oversight of employee time and attendance monitoring and payroll. Communicates with MMC payroll department and other MMC related departments.
- Oversees and directs human resources training and staff development. Provides new employee orientation/training/monitoring. Ensures all annual trainings are provided and documented appropriately and that annual staff evaluations are conducted and documented.
- Participate in monthly CQI Committee. Gathers data as instructed by committee as necessary.
- Acts as the Administrative Director in his/her absence

Pay: $98,845.84 - $131,794.46 per year

- OASAS or OMH program director: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
- Ph.D. Psychology with New York State licensure, LCSW or LMHC (Preferred)
