Job Overview:
The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage a specific project or projects as assigned to include project requirements, scope, budget, schedule, and performance. This position directly oversees the activities of multi-craft operations personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Duties:
- Develop and administer project budgets and fiscal controls, contracts, and quality control provisions; perform project cost estimating and value engineering as appropriate.
- Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares an itemized list
- Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of multiple projects; monitor and coordinate work.
- Maintains effective quality, schedule and cost controls.
- Ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for the project
- Ensure that project operations comply with design specifications
- Ensure site equipment and manpower needs are forecasted and reported in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Inform necessary individuals when forecast changes due to emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Responsible for customer relationships, managing customer expectations, and customer satisfaction
- Other duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple/large projects and effectively meet deadlines, while adhering to the highest level of Safety performance/standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations
-Previous supervisory experience
- Ability to train, influence, and motivate team members
- Minimum of 10+ years in the industrial construction industry
- Extensive knowledge of Construction Safety and Health regulations, including OSHA construction, ISNetworld, and NCCER
Requirments:
-A high School diploma is required, Bachelors’ Degree preferred in engineering, construction management, or another technical field.
-Demonstrated ability to understand pricing and billing procedures.
-Demonstrated ability to understand basic revenue and cost-to-completion projections and make decisions accordingly.
-Strong client interface and customer service skill
Working Conditions:
-Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, lift 50 lbs, and stretch as required by a specific task
-Occasional standing and walking required throughout the day and in inclement weather and difficult terrain.
-Occasional stooping, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting required.
-Computer-related activities, such as typing and viewing a computer monitor are required.
-Required to drive/ travel to project and client sites as needed.
