Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Job Description:
Position Overview: The CEO of SCHAS serves under the direction of the Board of Directors and is responsible for providing strategic leadership, vision, and direction to ensure the organization achieves its mission of delivering exceptional care and support to elderly individuals in their homes. The CEO will oversee all aspects of operations, including financial management, resource expansion, staff leadership, program development, and community engagement. This role is expected to be a servant leader to both the SCHAS staff and the Board.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of services to meet the evolving needs of senior citizens.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in service delivery.
Financial Management:
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal management to ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability.
- Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and take corrective actions as needed to achieve financial goals.
- Seek out funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to support the organization's growth and sustainability.
Operational Oversight:
- Direct and coordinate all operational activities, including client care, staffing, scheduling, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards for home assistance services.
- Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of care and client satisfaction.
Staff Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and retain qualified staff members who are dedicated to providing compassionate care to senior citizens.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development, and employee engagement.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, encouraging collaboration and effective communication.
Community Engagement and Partnerships:
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, families, community organizations, and government agencies.
- Represent the organization in local, regional, and national forums to advocate for the needs of senior citizens and promote awareness of our services.
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance service delivery, expand outreach efforts, and address systemic challenges facing senior citizens.
Board of Directors:
- Facilitate Board Meetings in conjunction with the Board President.
- Liaison to update the Board on Strategic Plans and financial outlook.
- Coordinate with Board on the development of Strategic Plans.
- Collaborate with the Board President to ensure the committees are functioning to achieve their current project goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, social work, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in a senior management role, preferably within the healthcare or nonprofit sector.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and resource management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and inspire confidence among stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in home assistance services for senior citizens.
- Commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a passion for serving vulnerable populations.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and lead organizational change initiatives.
