Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, and one year previous medical office experience
- General office skills and computer knowledge
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Effective communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work as a team member and demonstrate a customer service attitude
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
JOB SUMMARY: Front Office Scheduler/Receptionist's main responsibility is maintaining excellent customer service while managing front desk operations; making patient appointments, gathering patient information, handling insurance documentation, and collecting payments
•Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner and provides necessary instructions/directions
•Works closely with care team to assure smooth patient flow and cut down wait time
•Collects time of service payments and advises patient of account balance at time of check in
•Accurately maintains patient chart components, including patient demographics to assist care team in identifying specific patient populations and language
•Answers telephone, schedules appointments, and assists callers
•Assist Check-Out receptionist proving out at closing, showing the day’s total receipts; matches the day’s transactions and completes deposit slips
•Maintains work area and lobby
•Participates in educational activities
•Attends site meetings as required
•Resolves site requests as assigned
•Represents Clinic in a professional manner
•Treats all patients, internal and external in a courteous and cooperative manner
•Performs other duties as assigned by the Office Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
