The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results. The successful candidate will oversee the company’s facility operations and services, manage all major facility projects all while remaining in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate facility repairs and monitor facility system performance.
- Create all necessary PO’s for building related purchases. Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary for facility maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols. Ensure security of facility is maintained and take ownership of continual improvements. Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures.
- Inspect building structure to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment. Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers. Check completed work by contractors and vendors.
- Execute equipment audits and record-taking policies.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Manager on the implementation of new building projects.
- Verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing.
- Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants.
- Backup to the Maintenance Planner.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years’ experience in related facilities management position (for production facilities at least 300,000 SF).
- Prior experience managing outside contractors.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Continuous Improvement culture.
- Experience in SAP (or related ERP systems) preferred.
- Strong understanding of production and warehouse control systems.
- Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems. Basic working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
