Surgical Scrub Tech
Physicians Ambulatory Surgery Center has an exceptional opportunity for a PRN Surgical Scrub Technician.
The main duties for this position include:
- Performs specified functions to meet the requirements of each approved procedure
- Assembles supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures according to physicians’ preference cards
- Inspects equipment for proper working condition
- Reports observed or suspected breaks in sterile technique and takes action according to policy
- Correctly uses, cares for, cleans, and sterilizes instruments, supplies, and equipment as directed; inspects equipment for proper working condition
- Assists in maintaining adequate supplies in the operating room for immediate access during procedure
- Scrubs in and hands instruments to the doctor during surgery, with minor assistance as needed
- Accounts for all surgical counts
The successful candidate for this position must possess:

- Excellent skills and clinical ability
- Self-confidence and Self-motivation
- Thorough understanding of aseptic technique
- 2 years experience with documented on-the-job training, or CST certification
- Pain management experience preferred
- BLS certification
