VALOR is an in-custody, Veteran-specific inpatient rehabilitation program located inside an Intermediate Sanction Facility (ISF) in Collin County. We provide work opportunities and treatment alternatives for felony/misdemeanor Veteran offenders across Texas facing probation revocations or incarceration in a minimum security setting.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled clinician for a full-time position, working 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual weekly sessions with 8-10 clients, evaluating and overseeing individualized treatment plans.
- Upload progress notes to our online case management database.
- Participate in weekly integrated team meetings to staff cases.
- Conduct group sessions weekly including trauma groups, psychoeducation, journaling activities, and individual treatment using evidence-based protocols
- Perform assessments and interpret results for the VALOR staff for diagnostic purposes.
- Stay current on best practices and evidence-based treatment protocols for this population through research, community collaboration, and training.
- Act as a liaison between VALOR participants and other treatment providers, participating in weekly treatment planning meetings and aftercare sessions.
Position Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related Mental Health discipline.
- Active, unrestricted license in Texas (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LMSW, LPC, LPC-A; (LCDC alone not accepted).
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Strong technology skills.
- Experience working with Veterans, dual-diagnosis, and/or in a criminal justice setting preferred, but not required.
- Veterans preferred, but not required.
