Position Title: Chief Financial Officer
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
ACCOUNTING
· Maintain accurate records of CHC's financial position; produce timely and accurate reports which reflect the CHC's activities
· Responsible for organization of all accounting records, both physical and digital.
· Responsible for supervision of billings to insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, patients and other organizations.
· Responsible for analyzing key billing metrics and oversee execution of plans which will maximize revenue.
· Supervise the procurement process to minimize costs.
· Prepare for financial audits and implements necessary changes based on results.
SYSTEMS
· Maintain and arrange for appropriate updating of computer software, network, and hardware.
· Maintain appropriate level of expertise in Accounting and related systems including Quickbooks, Excel, ADP, EHB and Nextgen.
REPORTING
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports showing utilization of organization's services.
· Prepare all required reports to meet grant and other outside agency guidelines.
· Manage budget and forecast preparations, both short term and strategic long term models
· Prepare cash flow forecasts for liquidity and to maximize interest revenue
PHYSICAL PLANT
· Supervise the monitoring of the physical plant and grounds; repairs/maintenance and any improvements.
· Responsible for maintaining a current and accurate inventory of all equipment.
· Prepare capital expenditure and major maintenance budget.
· Ensure that construction and renovation projects are efficiently managed.
RISK MANAGEMENT
· Responsible for maintaining and improving system of financial internal controls.
· Ensure accounting policies are updated as needed and follow HRSA guidelines.
· Familiar with payroll and related statutes and guidelines and ensure Clinic risk minimized.
· Manage the insurance renewal process for both business insurance and employee health insurance.
· Ensure safety reviews are performed and physical and business risks are mitigated.
LEADERSHIP
· Provide leadership to CHC staff and assist in efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the medical and dental clinics.
· Act as CHC liaison with landlords and contractual partners.
· Become familiar with local agencies to increase cooperation and to assure good communication.
· Maintain regular communication with HRSA Grant Specialist to ensure Grant policies are understood and followed.
· Attend and present at monthly Finance Committee meetings and Board of Directors meetitngs and ensure Board is informed of issues.
· Perform other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications: Degree in Accounting
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements:
· Minimum 5 to 8 years of financial management experience
· CPA preferred.
· Healthcare finance experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
