LABOR & EMPLOYEE RELATIONS PARTNER
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a fully accredited Queens community-based teaching hospital and level I Trauma and Stroke Center. We are currently seeking a HR Labor & Employee Relations Partner for an immediate F/T career opportunity.
DUTIES:
- Coordinate labor and employee relation issues such as investigations, disciplinary cases, and grievances
- Provide support to management on labor relations and HR issues
- Handling resignation and termination procedures as well as potential legal matters related to Labor Issues
- Handling and mediating employee disputes as directed by management
- Interpreting and applying human resource rules, policies, regulations, and procedures consistently and equitably throughout the workforce
- Track and analyze key labor relations metrics and make recommendations for improvements
- Assist with preparing and present training programs on labor relations and HR topics
- Perform other duties as assigned/
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in labor relations or Human Resources, preferably in a unionized environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
SALARY: $80K - $90K FULLL BENEFITS & PTO
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
