POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Manager will lead the end-to-end HR department at Hannon Hill and consult with cross-functional internal leaders on other business teams to provide HR advice and guidance. We're looking for a strategic HR professional who thrives on making an impact, is an expert communicator, and is experienced in navigating complex employee relations, compliance, and performance matters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Make regular recommendations on organization policies and procedures as related to personnel matters and human resource functions and communicate these changes to the team
- Provide internal consulting to cross-functional business leaders on HR best practices including onboarding, compliance, risk mitigation
- Identify and propose ways to continuously improve portfolio-wide systems and processes
- Collaborate with legal counsel as needed
- Oversee quarterly performance and annual compensation reviews
- Work proactively with department heads to resolve employee relations and performance issues
- Develop and maintain the human resource information system and payroll system
- Create attractive benefits offerings that attract and retain talent and conduct annual open enrollment
- Lead company-wide professional development initiatives
- Develop departmental measurements that support the company’s strategic goals
- Create an HR budget that includes employee recognition, office and events, etc.
- Participate in management and staff meetings
- Conduct exit interviews
- Develop company-wide retention strategies using industry knowledge, pulse surveys, and exit interviews
- Analyze positions and compensation annually for effective recommendation, hiring, and succession planning
- Manage outsider vendor and broker relationship
- Ensure proactive best practices are implemented to maintain compliance with all benefit plan policies and employment laws for multi-state, multi-EIN portfolio
- Actively promote a positive office environment and culture
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
- BA/BS degree
- 5-8 years of human resource experience
- Extensive knowledge of HR policies at the local, state and federal levels as related to employment, wage and hour laws, leave, and more
- Strong business acumen
- Experience navigating complex risk and compliance issues involving multiple senior-level stakeholders

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages all employees of the HR department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
