MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL THROUGHOUT BROOKLYN TO DIFFERENT BUILDINGS
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide routine and preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of fixing/repairing boilers
- Log and maintain the work orders initiated during shift
- Basic Electrical - light switches, outlets, breakers repairs, installation of light fixtures, bulb replacements, etc.
- Basic Plumbing - Clogged sinks, tub or toilets, change faucets, washers, shower fixtures, toilet bowls including wax rings.
- Patch, Sand - Prep and Painting
- Strip and Wax Floors
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years of comparable work experience.
- Skilled at operating power tools, have basic knowledge of electric and plumbing.
- Able to lift and move furniture and appliances and stand for many hours at a stretch
- Able to climb multiple flights of stairs if elevators fail
- High School Diploma or Trade School or its equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer is a plus, not required.
- Working with elderly, disabled and/or formerly homeless population is a plus
