Responsibilities:
This position requires an individual with an interest in electrical design of RF based electronics intended for production. Hardware designs involve RF, digital, power, and microprocessor circuits and are packaged into high density airborne or rugged assemblies. The individual in this position needs to support the design, build, test, and production of analog and digital circuits across multiple product lines.
- Conduct circuit simulations, analysis, and verification to ensure performance.
- Liaison between product design team and production manufacturing team to implement in-situ changes to manufacturing work instructions and engineering design drawing (i.e. schematics, layout files).
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) techniques on both new and existing products.
- Perform schematic and layout reviews for DFM.
- Review feedback from internal and external manufacturing and research potential process, design, or documentation improvements.
- Generate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to formally document and solicit approval for design for manufacturing changes.
- Support failure analysis, troubleshooting, and production issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of designs.
- Collaborate with experienced designers to enhance electronic design skills.
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering with 0-2 years of experience in industry.
- Strong desire to learn and implement industry advancements in electronics design.
- Good understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Possess excellent organizational and communications skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar using industry-standard schematic design and simulation tools (Cadence, SPICE, etc.)
- Familiar with AnSoft/Ansys HFF, AWR Microwave office, or similar simulation tools
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as MATLAB or Python
- Familiar with high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis
Excellent presentation and technical writing skills
