As a member of the maintenance team, reporting to the Reliability Engineer, the Reliability Technician II performs tasks required to execute precision lubrication and predictive technology routes. The purpose of this role is to extend the life of plant assets, reduce costs, and increase plant productivity. The predictive technologies will include data/sample collection for oil analysis, vibration analysis, infrared thermography (IR), ultrasonic emissions (UE), etc. Once the data and samples are collected, outside services will conduct the lab analysis and predictive technology analysis. The Reliability Technician II is expected to know when to apply different predictive technologies and how to react to the analysis results in order to deliver desired reliability improvements.
Requirements for this role are at least one year of experience as an RE Tech I and holding the following certifications:
· ICML’s MLT-1
· ISO Vibration Analyst Cat-1
RESPONSIBILITIES
40% - Responsible for executing the lubrication tasks in assigned plant areas. These lubrication tasks include following best practices for:
· storage and handling
· application practices
· contamination control
· sampling procedures
· PM execution
· maintaining database and reporting
· leakage control and environmental compliance
40% - Responsible for executing the predictive technology programs in assigned plant areas. These predictive technology tasks include:
· route based data collection
· baseline data collection as replacement assets are installed
· mounting remote sensors or sensor connections as needed
· troubleshooting data collection as needed
· leveraging additional technologies as appropriate to validate findings
· maintaining database and reporting
20% - Collaborate with Reliability Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors, External Service Providers and other Reliability Technicians to determine appropriate corrective actions as a result of analysis results.
· Enter service requests in BE and conduct follow-up data collection as needed.
· Coach and mentor other Reliability Technician I’s as the opportunity arises.
Quantitative Dimensions
Decision Making: Collaborate with Reliability Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors, External Service Providers and other Reliability Technicians as needed to make appropriate decisions about how to correct issues encountered.
Key Metrics of Performance:Route compliance, PM compliance, improving trends on oil analysis, etc.

REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Strong knowledge of precision lubrication and mechanical maintenance of common heavy industrial machines (pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc.).
· Proficient in basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel).
· Experience with a computer maintenance management system (CMMS), such as Infor BE or similar system.
· Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
· Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and continual diligence about follow-up.
· Strong desire to learn.
· Well organized with the ability to multi-task.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Sound judgment, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Education/Experience:
· Strong mechanical maintenance background equivalent to Journeyman Mechanic Class B or greater. Strong emphasis on self-motivated individual with drive to learn and grow role.
· 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
· 1 or more years of experience as a Reliability Technician I
· ICML MLT-1 Certification
· ISO Vibration Analyst Cat-1 Certification
