Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various mechanical systems and equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow and minimal disruption to production.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for maintenance and repair.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation purposes.
