The position will report to the Director – Technical Operations as a part of the Technical Operations Engineering team and will provide engineering support to both liquids and gas gatherings assets within North Dakota and Wyoming. Primary focus includes working closely with Operations to provide day-to-day engineering and technical support including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues, coordination with other company departments, supporting commissioning of new assets and full project lifecycle execution.
· Provides day-to-day engineering and technical support to pipeline operations.
· Performs hydraulic and gas calculations and simulations. Helps with MOP determination and Surge Studies
· Supports Power and DRA budgeting and management.
· Updates P&ID’s.
· Provide operating, alarming, and shutdown set points for pipeline operations.
· Participate in MOC process for engineering review and sign-off.
· Executes full project lifecycle for operations Maintenance Capital and Expense Projects.
· Support commissioning of new assets such as pump stations, compressor stations and LACT’s
· Reviews potential exposures and relocations.
· Supports investigations by providing technical expertise for: Abnormal Operating Conditions (AOC’s), Mechanical/Electrical/Control (MEC) failures, Environmental/Health/Safety (EHS) incidents.
· Support pipeline operations during DOT Inspections.
· Coordinates with other internal company teams including but not limited to Ops/Optimization Engineering, Systems Planning, Scheduling, Commercial and Engineering & Construction.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 6-10 years of pipeline engineering experience
- Title conferred will be based on candidates’ years of relevant experience.
- Must be familiar with all applicable codes and regulations including USDOT CFR 192 and 195, API, ASME, ASNT, OSHA, and NACE.
- Utilize, understand, and adhere to contracts and agreements within scopes of work.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); good computer skills; the ability to interact well with property owners, municipal, state and federal agencies at all levels as well as all levels of and groups inside the organization.
- Must be a self-starter, have good organizational skills and be able to accept constantly changing priorities.
- Must be a team player and willing to assist outside of own discipline.
- Ability to acquire new job knowledge and skills
- Pipeline Operations or Operations Engineering Experience
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
