In this role, we have made our name supplying & installing Millwork, Cabinetry & Casegoods that meet the requirements of each brand’s standards. We set ourselves apart from the pack by working from the brand prototypes first, and then adapting this knowledge to each new project that comes across our table.
Scope of position:
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of the installation crews and subcontractors in the defined area.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate installation projects from field measurements to finish (punch) according to schedule, specifications.
- Implement quality control programs
- Represent company with the GC and our subcontractors
- Ensure JSI presence on Site
- Report progress to Project Managers via Fieldwire application
- Supervise the activities of subcontractors
- Identify issues before they arise and mitigate. Address issues as they arise promptly.
- Attend weekly GC/Site Meetings
- Schedule deliveries with GC
- Help with coordination of other trades work that interact with ours
- According to projects/requests
- Qualifying Installers
- Make or Get Field Measurements or Site readiness as requested by PMs
- Ensure Clear directions were given to installers and control their work
- Evaluate and request to PM extra work and punch item (Chargeable and non-chargeable Work Order)
- Reporting
- Get every installed unit signed and photographed
- Communicate progress with PM. Daily report of completion and needs
- Familiarity with using site management mobile software such as Procore, BIM360, Fieldwire
Basic Qualifications:
- Good communicator with clients, reassuring and raising the confidence level with JSI;
- Good technical communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Adept at working in difficult situations.
Additional Qualifications:
- Familiar in AWI specifications pertaining to premium and custom grade Millwork installations , example temp/humidity ranges/balanced panels ext
- Knowledgeable in the install of running solid wood trims including baseboard/chair rail/crown molding, etc.
- Knowledgeable in the install of architectural wood paneling, veneer and painted
- Knowledgeable in install wood door jambs/casing and door hardware
- Knowledgeable in install of built in millwork casework, reception desks/coffee bars/kitchenettes, etc.
- Some experience with solid surface countertops and seaming
- Good communicator with clients, reassuring and raising the confidence level with JSI;
- Good technical communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Adept at working in difficult situations.
