Are you looking to make a positive impact in the lives of pets and pet parents within our community? Do you long to be part of a professional team that values your individual strengths and supports your personal well-being? Are you considering making a change from your current veterinary practice? Then we want to hear from you! Veterinary Care of Ithaca is looking for experienced veterinary assistants to join our growing team.
Who we are:
We are a privately owned, progressive small animal veterinary practice located in downtown Ithaca, NY that has served the pets in Tompkins County for over 40 years. Our doctors and staff place a strong emphasis on a fear free approach to patient care and our management team strives to support an emotionally intelligent work environment and a positive work/life balance. We have a positive practice culture where professional growth is nurtured and supported, and individual differences are celebrated.
Who we are looking for:
Can you safely handle and restrain an excitable German shepherd who is prone to alligator rolls? Can you keep your composure while handling a scared and potentially fractious cat while your coworkers collect a blood sample? Can you keep a smile and upbeat attitude when a patient has urinated on your shoe, another has defecated on the floor, the phone is ringing off the hook and the doctor is starting to run behind? If you answered yes, then we would like to speak with you.
We are looking for experienced veterinary assistants who are strong, empathetic communicators and have a good mix of common sense, a positive attitude and a respect and appreciation for the unique bond animals and humans can share.
