Role and Responsibilities
The Facilities and Receiving Associate is responsible for supporting facilities related tasks. This includes receiving and appropriately handling shipments and deliveries, restocking of supplies and basic repairs and maintenance. This position reports directly to the Technician Supervisor.
Responsibilities include:
Receives and handles shipments and deliveries and notifies appropriate pharmacy staff to unpack and receive chemicals.
Receives and appropriately signs and forwards Packing Lists, Invoices, Certificates of Analysis, and any other paperwork received in/with shipments.
Wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) as necessary when receiving and handling shipments.
Performs basic repairs and maintenance and documents actions. Performs routine facility maintenance including replacing ceiling tiles, basic HVAC maintenance, painting, etc.
Pulls items from pick list and retrieves supplies and items from nearby storage units needed for daily production.
Keeps production area stocked with supplies daily.
Performs inventory counts as needed – daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
Collects Protected Health Information (PHI) documents to be shredded and places in appropriate receptacles.
Delivers USPS packages to nearby local post office daily.
Stocks Breakroom with needed supplies daily.
Ensures the receiving area is always clean, secure, and locked.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associate degree or minimum 2 years’ experience working in a related field.
- Experience working with equipment or machines.
- Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication.
- Shown ability to follow directions with limited oversite.
- High organization skills with ability to multi-task several objectives in parallel.
Additional Notes
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the day.
- Must be able to work in a variety of positions and locations such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and walking, for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to wear required PPE for long periods of time when required.
- Position requires handling of laboratory chemicals or hazardous materials.
Must be able to use necessary equipment such as computers, scanners, or other technology devices as assigned.
