University City Non-profit, Pennsylvania Approved Special Education School for children with cerebral palsy is looking for a Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic interdisciplinary team. HMS School offers a day AND residential program to students with disabilities relating to Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury and other neuromuscular disorders.

Work a 7.25-hour day on a school calendar and enjoy paid Winter, Spring, & Summer School Breaks as well as many Federal Holidays off.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
· Assessing student’s level of functioning and need for therapy.
· Developing and implementing all aspects of IEP and treatment plans based on PT evaluation and assessment.
· Providing prescribed physical therapy which may include therapeutic handling for improved function, gait training, transfer training, gross motor functions, power mobility evaluation and training, positioning, seating.
· Communicating and coordinating PT-related information with others of the student’s team to maintain IEP and ISP goals.
· Providing home exercise programs to family/caregiver of students, especially for day students and students who do not receive therapy over the summer.
· Performing annual as well as ongoing evaluations of students.
· Developing long and short-term goals.
· Maintaining progress notes and completing required reports, promptly and in an acceptable manner.
· Maintaining an orderly medical record for each student.
· Presenting evaluation results, progress and goals during team meetings.
Requirements:
· Graduate of an Accredited School of Physical Therapy
· Must have or be eligible for PA license
· Experience or an affiliation in a pediatric physical therapy setting
