Job Overview
As an IT Field Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of technical services. You will be responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning telecommunications and information technology solutions at various customer sites throughout the United States. The ideal candidate has a strong background in installation of IT and telephony equipment, troubleshooting, and customer service. The nature of the work is diversified and requires autonomy from the point of view of knowledge and organization. Axsera also calls for superior quality of service and promptness in addressing customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install, test and commission products for Voice, Data & Public Safety Networks
- Diagnose, analyze and resolve hardware/software problems using diagnostic tools
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical issues
- Communicate regularly with clients, managers, other technicians, and third-party providers
- Make recommendations for recurring problems for continuous improvement.
- Manage configuration and programming files
- Document technical procedures and maintain knowledge base
Knowledge and competencies
- College degree in electronics, telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer electronics or equivalent
- Experience with Voice and Data Networks as well as IP Technology
- Experience in configuring IP Network equipment
- Familiarity with trunking network telecommunication systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Autonomous, dependable, and excellent communicator
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, coordinate tasks and respect timelines
- Familiarity with office software and technology
Work Conditions
- Successful candidate must pass background and security checks
