About the Role:
The Credentialing Director oversees the Customer Credentialing department with the responsibility of vetting new and existing customers to ensure adherence to laws, regulations and contractual requirements. The Customer Credentialing department functions as an objective entity focused on preventing fraud and misuse of company products and services by extensively evaluating all customer applications. The Credentialing Director has responsibility for approving or denying customer applications for company services.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee the Customer Credentialing department, developing and implementing strategies to effectively vet new and existing customers.
- Establish, implement, and maintain department goals, policies and procedures.
- Supervise assigned personnel by setting work schedules and assigning specific duties.
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact the credentialing process.
- Regularly report on department performance and risk assessments to leadership.
- Determine staffing requirements, assists with hiring and training new employees.
- Ensure applicable laws, regulations and company polices are being followed.
- Collaborate with Compliance and other departments regarding regulatory and company policy changes.
- Review and execute contractual agreements of approved business units.
- Assist with audit reports and documentation for regulatory reviews/investigations.
- Assist departments by answering questions regarding specific compliance policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices for customer vetting and fraud prevention.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
What Can Set You Apart:
- Regulated Compliance experience.
- Analytical skills and experience with analytical software.
- At least two (2) years of experience in customer credentialing position.
- International Association of Privacy Professional Certification (IAPP).
- Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) knowledge.
- Experience in a leadership role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
