- Perform a variety of duties in assisting a licensed teacher in the implementation and support of instructional programs for students in group or one-on-one settings.
- Prepare instructional materials, maintain classroom discipline, and lead planned activities designated by a licensed teacher.
- Help develop and maintain a positive school-wide learning environment.
All Substitute Teachers MUST meet the following qualifications:
- Must hold a degree and have completed a teacher preparation program.
- OR apply for a Content Substitute Teacher Certificate through the Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE).
- Minimum requirement for Substitute Teacher Certification (MO): 36 semester credit hours from a regionally accredited college, academic degree-granting college or university OR complete a 20 hour DESE approved course.
- To apply for work in Wright City School District, you must undergo a background check (fingerprinting) using the 4-Digit Registration Number Code for WCSD: 2141.
