Trinity Metro has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Tech in the Vehicle Maintenance Department. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of vehicles by conducting inspections, tests, and audits. The incumbent’s primary focus will be on maintaining and improving the performance of vehicles while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITES

Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and safety components, to identify defects, wear and tear, or non-compliance issues.

Testing: Perform diagnostic tests and quality control checks on various vehicle systems such as engines, brakes, transmissions, and electronic components.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspection findings, test results, and maintenance activities, ensuring accurate documentation for compliance purposes.

Compliance: Ensure that all vehicle maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Problem Resolution: Collaborate with maintenance and repair teams to address and resolve identified issues promptly, providing technical expertise and guidance.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, processes, and procedures to enhance vehicle reliability and performance.

Training: Assist in the training and development of maintenance staff on quality assurance protocols and best practices.

Reporting: Generate reports on the quality and performance of vehicles, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.

Performance Management: Develop and implement performance labor standards and processes for maintenance activities in the Maintenance Department.

Safety: Promote and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with industry regulations and standards (e.g., DOT, EPA).
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to use diagnostic tools and software effectively
EXPERIENCE
Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and quality control, preferably in an automotive or fleet management environment.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education or certification in automotive technology is a plus.
Any combination of experience, training and/or education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may substitute for the required education.
