The Street Transportation Department is seeking a motivated individual for a Civil Engineer III position within the Office of the City Engineer. The Civil Engineer III assigned to the Development Coordination group will advise and coordinate with engineers and developers on civil design plan questions for private development projects consisting of residential, multi-family, and industrial uses.
Duties includes:
- Roadway design review and advisement.
- Private development technical appeal hearings.
- Cost estimating for bridge, culvert, and roadway planning purposes.
- Technical specification review and creation for city standards.
- Approvals for alternative design allowance, cost estimating for bridge, culvert, and roadway planning purposes.
- Review of scope and fee proposals for various city-sponsored projects, stormwater, and drainage advisement, etc.
- Small-to-medium special projects assigned to the division, i.e., roadway Impact fee analysis and establishment, long-range transportation studies, and infrastructure assessments in high-growth areas of the city.
