Anchor NW Property Management is currently looking for a driven and detail oriented MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN.
We are a collaborative, family-owned management company with over 30 beautiful apartment communities throughout the Portland Metro area and a corporate office located in Beaverton, Oregon.
Our MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS are focused on ensuring that any necessary repairs are handled quickly and professionally. Successful applicants must be able to operate small tools (drills, black lights, stud finders, levels, etc.), have basic "handyman" experience (painting, furniture assembly, etc.) and have basic aptitude with mobile apps.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Complete apartment turnovers according to the Maintenance Turn Checklist, completing all steps completely and in a timely manner.
- Respond to and complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Perform duties of on-call tech and on-call backup, as requested.
- Assist in maintenance of curb appeal by attending to the dog park area, smoking station and pickup of any loose trash around the building.
- Paint common areas as assigned.
- Become familiar with all equipment operation and maintenance equipment’s, all implied warranties and manufacturer's recommendations for properly maintaining said equipment.
- Attend training and education classes and opportunities as management deems necessary and essential to the performance of the maintenance department.
Required Skills & Education:

- Operate small tools required for the job: drills, black lights, stud finders, level, tape measure, etc.
- Basic handyman experience (painting, assembly of furniture).
- Basic aptitude in mobile apps (text, email, attachments, dropdown menus, etc.).

- Report unusual issues to management.

- Maintain and create a welcoming community for all visitors, residents, vendors and city inspectors.
- Complete all payroll entries accurately to properly record time, jobs and GL codes.
- Comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, and policies.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, carry, pull, or push 50 lbs.
- Able to operate equipment and tools required to perform job duties.
- Must be able to climb stairs, step stools, twist, crouch, or kneel frequently.
- Must be able to spend extended periods of time standing and/or walking.
- Must be able to bend over to pick up items from ground level, turn from side to side.
