Role Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Director of Human Resources to lead our human capital strategy and propel our organization to new heights. This role is central to our continued success and growth, demanding a visionary leader with substantial experience in a consultancy environment, specifically within public relations, public affairs, or professional services. Agency experience is mandatory for this role because it equips the candidate with the unique skills and fast-paced, results-driven mindset necessary to navigate the complexities of a dynamic consultancy environment, ensuring strategic initiatives are executed with speed and precision.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and implement advanced recruitment strategies to attract top-tier professionals.
- Oversee the entire recruitment life cycle, ensuring a seamless and inclusive experience for all candidates.
Comprehensive Talent Management:
- Design and refine talent retention programs.
- Enhance career development opportunities and establish a robust succession planning framework.
Performance Optimization:
- Lead the performance review process to foster a culture of continuous feedback and development.
- Collaborate with leadership to design training programs that align employee growth with organizational goals.
Inclusive Culture Advocacy:
- Champion our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA).
- Develop and implement actionable DEIA strategies to cultivate a thriving team environment.
Organizational Development:
- Shape Marathon’s culture by identifying innovative engagement initiatives and ensuring a supportive, transparent workplace.
Compliance Adherence:
- Strengthen HR policies to exceed federal and state labor compliance standards.
- Maintain proactive oversight on regulatory changes, ensuring Marathon's adaptive and anticipatory compliance posture.
Proactive Culture Cultivation:
- Develop innovative engagement strategies to reinforce Marathon's reputation as a premier employer.

Candidate Qualities / Background
Mandatory Agency Experience:
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in public relations, public affairs, or professional services consultancy as a Director of Human Resources or similar leadership role.

- Proven ability to think strategically and execute with speed and precision.
