Line Cook
Job Summary
Our busy and ever growing private country club is looking for a professional line cook to add to our team. A successful candidate would be responsible for preparing ingredients to be used in our a la carte dining restaurant, cooking meals on a variety of stations, and working cleanly while maintaining a sanitary work area. We are seeking someone who has experience working in a busy food service environment and is committed to carrying on the standard that we set to satisfy our members and their guests.
Duties
Become cross-trained on various stations on the cooking line, including fry station, grill station, expeditor, and Garde Manger.
Memorize and complete all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards
Assist sous chef, banquet chef, and executive chef with any other assigned tasks
Skills
3+ years professional cooking experience
High school diploma/GED
Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day
Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis

Job Duties:
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
