About The Opportunity
As a member of the Prospect Schools People Team, our mission is to ensure that we are attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional people to serve our students and families.
Reporting to the Director of HR Operations, the HR Operations Specialist manages the onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and ongoing support of Prospect Schools employees. Communicating with new hires, managing employee benefit enrollment, responding to employee inquiries through our HR ticketing portal, and serving as the employee-facing HR expert - all are within the purview of this job. Ensuring that all employees receive exceptional support that centers around our core mission and our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout their tenure at Prospect Schools is at the heart of this critical role.

What You'll Do:
Onboarding & Offboarding:

Manage initial communication, document collection, fingerprinting, and benefits enrollment for new employees to ensure they are prepared for their first day
Oversee employee data from the Vidcruiter platform to ADP
Hold onboarding support meetings with all new employees
Manage the onboarding process of all external contractors and interns
Support departing employees throughout the offboarding process
Serve as the COBRA liaison for Prospect Schools
Benefits:
Manage the ongoing support, enrollment, and vendor relationships for all of our healthcare and auxiliary employee benefits
Plan and execute the annual Benefits Open Enrollment cycle for all Prospect Schools employees
Manage all vendor invoices to ensure prompt payment
Provide employee customer support and serve as liaison between employees and vendors/carriers as needed
HR Expertise & Employee Support:
Internalize all HR systems, procedures, and policies and serve as the employee-facing expert on all things Human Resources
Work with ADP to provide HRIS platform support to the HRO team at large
Serve as the owner and manager of our HR Ticketing Portal to ensure timely, thorough, and consistent responses to employee inquiries and escalate as needed
Hold regular HR office hours to support our school leaders and employees
Review and process all incoming HR Operations mail sent to the network office
Compliance:
Support the Director of HR, Operations with annual auditing and reporting requirements
Serve as the administrative point-person for Workers Compensation & Unemployment requests
Stay current on federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Ensure all personnel files are properly maintained and organized
Fulfill employment verification and other documentation requests on behalf of the organization
Teacher Certification:
Manage tracking, communication, and documentation of our teacher certification across all campuses
Provide employee support to teachers navigating certification processes
Report and update certification data
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
2 or more years in Human Resources preferred
Proven project management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Strong computer skills including proficiency in the Google Suite. Experience with HRIS (such as ADP) preferred.

Salary:
Employees at Prospect Schools are provided with a competitive salary. Our salaries are set through a lens of equity, and based on an individual’s years of direct experience relevant to the role. The salary range for this role is $71,000 - $91,286.
