Our Client is a residential developer of walkable communities based in Philadelphia and is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Staff Accountant to join our team. In this pivotal role, the Staff Accountant will be entrusted with the full spectrum of bookkeeping responsibilities for our Client's diverse real estate ventures.
Key duties include:
- Managing accounts payable and cash flows
- Overseeing lot and house closings
- Handling bank draws
- Preparing financial statements for each single-purpose entity and on a consolidated basis.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity and transparency of our projects, ensuring that all financial activities are conducted accurately and efficiently.
The Staff Accountant will also be responsible for coordinating with our external service providers, including payroll service, tax preparation, insurance matters, and our outside CPA.
This role requires a proactive approach to communication and collaboration, ensuring that all financial processes are seamlessly integrated and compliant with regulatory standards.
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting
- At least (2+) two years of experience in real estate accounting
- Demonstrating proficiency in QuickBooks software
