GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Super Start is proud to announce the opening of our new Preschool and Infant Care featuring state of the art technology, new aesthetic classrooms, and updated equipment to fit each classroom, bathroom, playground, and the kitchen.
As a Christian Preschool we learn and teach morals, values, and character that’s consistent with the Bible. Our educational philosophy is based on Reggio Emilia child-lead principles and will prepare children for success in kindergarten.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a passion for working with children.
- A person desiring to be hired as a teacher must satisfy the following conditions:
- be at least 18 years of age,
- have a CDA or Associates, but a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or similar is preferred.
- must pass a fingerprinting background check, have a health screening and TB test on file, and complete yearly professional development training
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow policies established by the Director and the State of Missouri.
Maintain a cooperative attitude, accepting the educational philosophy of Super Start.
Attend all meetings of the staff as required by the Director including parent-teacher meetings, devotions, conferences, workdays, and any other assigned meetings.
Read professional materials and attend at least one class, workshop seminar per year to maintain an understanding of age appropriate procedures, students, curriculum, and legal requirements.
Attend education courses/classes to qualify for licensing requirements.
Fulfill other duties as requested by the Director.
PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES
At Super Start, teachers and staff will provide a program that:
Demonstrates a love for Jesus and Christian values
Includes children as active participants in their learning experiences
Promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
Maximizes the independence and enhances the potential of young children
GUIDING CHILDCARE PRACTICES
In order to accomplish these goals, we will provide an preschool and infant care program that enthusiastically promotes:
Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum
A healthy and safe environment for children
Regular communication with parents and caregivers
Teacher-child ratios which ensure quality care and individualized attention
Planned learning activities specialized to each child’s developmental age
INSTRUCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Be responsible for helping your lead teacher carry out the daily teaching program as outlined by and under the supervision of the Preschool Director.
Review the lead teacher’s lesson plans and help them prepare.
Plan and prepare attractive bulletin boards for assigned area(s). All boards must be changed monthly and kept current with holidays.
Your classroom is a reflection of the organization. You’ll need to attend to light housekeeping chores each day, and keep the rooms neat and attractive.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
