Position Summary
The Director of Stabilization will oversee and manage the daily operations of client-related needs in SHC’s stabilization programs including Supportive Housing, Homelessness Prevention and Project SOUP Case Management. The Director of Stabilization will provide direct supervision of program managers and staff. They will be responsible for overseeing the provision of services offered to clients in these programs with a focus on identifying and implementing innovative approaches that result in successful client outcomes. They will offer clinical-level support for staff supervision and directly to clients as appropriate. They will also be responsible for managing the clinical aspects of the Community Support Program for Homeless Individuals.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the Supportive Housing and Homelessness Prevention programs as well as Project SOUP Case Management services
- Manage all aspects of the Community Support Program for Homeless Individuals – a funding source utilized across SHC programs to offer comprehensive case management services
- Develop and implement effective comprehensive case management strategies across stabilization programs
- Monitor and ensure program compliance with government contracts, private grants and agency policies and procedures
- Manage and oversee program enrollments to ensure compliance with all agency and funding regulations, policies, and procedures, including client eligibility determinations and approvals for financial assistance
- Provide oversight of client files and databases to ensure documentation expectations are being met
- Ensure ongoing compliance with occupancy standards and requirements for Supportive Housing units
- Support Director of Programs in monitoring client occupancy fee payments, issuing warnings and completing all required recertifications
- Oversee approvals and requests for SNAP Replacement Program
- Provide operational support to the Project SOUP pantry as needed
- Provide supervision and support to the Supportive Housing and Homelessness Prevention Program Managers as well as the Project SOUP Case Manager
- Provide support and guidance on human resource activities, such as onboarding, performance evaluations and off-boarding
- Cultivate positive working relationships and collaborate with other service providers to promote the agency and programming
- Provide training and coordinate professional development activities for program staff
- Perform other duties to ensure smooth operation of the agency’s entire operations
- Demonstrate strong and clear communication both written and verbal
- Abide by handbook rules, policies and code of conduct
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Education, Abilities, Competencies and Experience Required
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, or equivalent license required
- Minimum three years relevant experience with homeless, mental health, and substance use services
- Experience with local, state and federal eligible activities, regulations, and policies (eg HUD CoC)
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and orally
- Proficient computer and tech skills including, Microsoft Word, Excel and other web-based applications
- Flexible, reliable, motivated and possess a positive attitude
- Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and follow through
- Work well independently and as part of a team environment
- Car and valid driver’s license required

Work Environment
This job operates in an office and professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. On occasion the job will require going out in events or organizations, based on the needs of the business.
Physical Demands
This is mostly sedentary in an office space but requires occasional local travel. This would require the ability to sit at a desk, frequently walk, bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Designated days and schedule will be primarily Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm though hours will be based on the needs of the business and may require weekends, nights or early mornings on occasion.
Travel
Position requires minimal travel; based on the needs of the operations and business.
