Duties
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and cleaned according to standards
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Report any damages, deficits, and disturbances to maintenance, assistance, inspector, or director
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
Skills
- Excellent hospitality skills to provide a welcoming environment for guests
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or similar role
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and techniques
- Familiarity with custodial duties such as trash disposal and recycling
- Experience in floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning
- Understanding of hotel cleanliness standards and procedures
As a Room Attendant, you would be responsible for cleaning guest rooms and responding to guest requests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming
· Change and replenish bed linens, towels and guest amenities, as needed
· Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed
· Stock, maintain and transport housekeeping supply cart on a daily basis
· Dispose of trash and recyclables
· Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
· Perform guest turn down service, as needed
