Job Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced individual to fill the role of HR Generalist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the credentialing process for our healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting our HR department with various tasks related to employee onboarding, training, compliance, and credentialing committee meetings and minutes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the credentialing process for healthcare providers, including initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards, including those set forth by accrediting bodies and government agencies such as URAC and NCQA.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing files and databases.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external organizations to obtain necessary credentialing information and documentation.
- Organize and facilitate credentialing committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and meeting minutes.
- Document and distribute minutes from credentialing committee meetings to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the HR department with various tasks, including employee onboarding, training, and compliance.
- Support HR initiatives related to employee relations, performance management, and policy development.
- Provide guidance and support to staff regarding credentialing and HR-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, human resources, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of previous experience in credentialing in a healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of credentialing processes, standards, and regulations.
- Previous experience with the application of URAC and NCQA guidelines.
- Experience working in HR and familiarity with HR processes and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and credentialing software
