Roof Inspector
Hi There. Read through this carefully and if you can say yes to everything feel free to apply.
As a roof inspector you will be running a route Mon-Friday. 8:30-9am to 5-6pm (some days you will have less of a route and some days your day will be longer). You will be totally working alone. So self-accountability is a must. We use a routing app that tracks your phone while you are on the route so we can see where you are.
In a nutshell this job requires you to be able to look at a 2 page report per house and cross check items already paid for by the insurance company and take pictures of items that were missed. Then when you get home you sort and upload your pics and notes into a shared folder and you are done for the day. We have inspectors in San Antonio, Austin and Dallas. The training for this job will be in Austin, San Antonio and possibly DFW. We will pay for the hotel stays if we need you to stay the night out of Town.
If you can say YES to the ENTIRE following list then please feel free to apply.
1. Inspectors use their own vehicles (gas reimbursed 100% and repairs on a case by case basis) Almost any vehicle will work due to our awesome collapsible ladders.
2. ABSOLUTELY be good on ladders and good with heights. We do not work dangerously but if stepping off a ladder onto a roof or being on a roof even remotely makes you scared then this job is not for you I promise. (you will be given a set of Cougar Paws after you are hired)
3. Must be able to use a basic digital camera (provided)
4. Must have basic computer skills (Need to have a laptop or PC to upload claims)
5. Decent handwriting so the claim writers can read it.
6. Be able to be on time.
7. Have a go getter mentality and a teachable mindset.
8. Must be able to travel for work if needed(if we get a storm in another area you might get sent to San Antonio or Dallas for 1-3 nights to help with the inspection load) Same for our other inspectors if Austin gets a big storm.
9. Must be decent with #s (meaning eyeballing easy linear footage and able to calculate basic math on the go)
10. This job is almost ALL on the job training. Things change from time to time and you must be able to adapt. All houses are built similar so once you understand the job the rest is just applying what you have learned.
11. Summers are HOT and winters are COLD. We don’t climb roofs in the rain or ice but it can def be really hot and decently cold for a chunk of the year.
12. MUST BE A FUN ENERGETIC PERSON WHO WANTS TO GROW WITH AN AWESOME COMPANY.
This job starts at $1000 week. 52 paychecks a year (Every Friday).
This job has a 2 week trial period. In 2 weeks you will either understand it or not. (most do)
We start every day on location at property #1 between 8:30-9am
We have health, dental, vision insurance.
An average route is 7-10 houses a day. 30-45 minute Average inspections.
We pride ourselves on not being your AVERAGE employer. We are a small group of hard working people who are looking to add another member to our team
We are looking to get the hiring and training done ASAP.
