Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Parking Control Offiicer will perform general security functions. Performance is rated by the Supervisor of Guest Parking Services.
As the Parking Control Officer, you will:

Provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
-
Demonstrate appropriate caring behavior in the workplace
- Report any and all unusual activities or hazardous conditions

Assist the Parking Telecommunicator with front office duties during peak times to include issuance of parking permits

Block off parking lots and other areas of campus using cones, barrels and other parking implements for special events, construction, etc

Operate computer driven, electronic equipment

Enforce the ECU Health Medical Center Parking Policy

Responsible for enforcement of parking policy to include issuance of parking citations and application of parking immobilizer

Assist Parking Telecommunicator with monitoring recorded line for timely clearances and other office duties/responsibilities

Patrol the parking lots to ensure compliance with parking policy and ensure traffic is flowing freely at canopy entrances

Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- High School degree required or higher
-
Required training/courses: Parking Immobilizer Training and Ticket Trak (required within 6 months of hire)
- One year experience preferably in parking enforcement, security, or military
Other Information

Initital Training will occur between 5 am - 5 pm
-
Normal Shift: Monday - Friday (1:30 pm - 10 pm)

Required to work weekend rotational schedule (Saturday and Sunday) every 5 weeks
