Cresthill Academy is the premiere childcare center in New Jersey with programs for infants, toddlers & preschoolers. We are an organic daycare & preschool with centers in Hoboken, East Hanover, Lyndhurst and Harrison. Our holistic approach to early education and care features a progressive curriculum starting in infancy with music and movement classes, science explorations and more. What You’ll Do
- Prepare young children for kindergarten by easing them into a structured, organized educational environment.
- Contribute to the social and emotional development of the children so they can more easily transition into the next level of education.
- Establish and maintain a safe, nurturing and clean learning environment for the children.
- Work collaboratively with an assistant teacher and delegate tasks to improve the flow of the classroom.
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that peak the interests of the children and help them develop their artistic and practical capabilities.
- Provide a reasonable balance between teacher-directed and child-directed activities.
- Track children’s progress and prepare assessments.
- Understand, comply, and uphold Cresthill Academy’s Core Values, standards and education program.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to childcare.
What You Bring
- A minimum of 2 years’ of proven experience working with preschool children in a daycare setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but will accept Associates’ Degree in education or a related field or a current CDA certification.
- Montessori certified.
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for working with young children.
- The ability to lift a maximum of 45 pounds daily, multiple times per day.

- Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 5:30PM OR 9AM to 6PM
