We have an immediate opening for the right individual to come in and take charge of our Lithia Springs manufacturing facility. The right person will demonstrate strong leadership skills, patience, dedication to the team, and carry a "never quit" attitude. This will be a challenge and we are only asking those who are determined to succeed to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
Take on the role as Plant Manager, overseeing steel manufacturing production for 20-30 employees. Maintain a three-shift schedule depending on customer demand. Communicate planning to the management team and report to the VP of Manufacturing.

Promote positive culture and one team mindset between production, inventory, quality, and maintenance

Leader for carrying out continuous improvement activities to achieve company goals

Train and develop direct reports through teamwork, coaching and innovation

Excellent knowledge of Company operations and the ability to guide and advise the team on efficiency improvement

Create and enforce standards and procedures for shop floor operation and training

Ultimately responsible for performance management of all team members This will include: performance reviews, goal-setting, production goals, disciplinary action, career development and succession planning

Effectively communicate with management team and other departments to keep them informed and resolve issues

Conduct job observation and audits to ensure shop floor standards are being followed

Establishes policies and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness

Manage and forecast monthly and yearly manpower and production load

Responsible for cost and efficiency controls relating to the plant operations

Must be able to work extended hours and rotate shifts when and as required
-
Maintains plant facilities and equipment, replacing or making adjustments when necessary

Actively promote Williams Form’s mission and values with team members, outside vendors, and customers

Meet with various vendors that supply production related products

Participates in maintenance planning to determine and plan required projects, status of ongoing projects, and scheduling
Qualifications:

Basic reading, writing, and better arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent

Minimum four years of experience in a leadership role

Associates degree or equivalent military experience
Skills:
-
Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn and use new software applications, ERP experience a plus

Must be able to build, maintain and contribute to a team environment

Is willing to lead by example and demonstrate servant-leadership

Is willing to resolve problems in a respectful manner

Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Temperatures could range fairly drastically depending on the time of year. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 lbs unassisted. Could be required to stand, walk, bend, and twist for 7 hours or more per day. The plant requires the use of safety equipment including eye safety glasses, steel-toe boots, as well as hearing protection and hard hats in required areas. Loose clothing and jewelry are not permitted.
