Senior Product Manager Role Summary
Daon’s Product Managers serve as champions for the vision and profitability of their product line(s). They work closely with various teams inside Daon to make business decisions and create product strategies that help ensure the company’s long-term sustainability. Successful Product Managers possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
As a Product Manager within Daon, you will regularly collaborate with the Technology, Sales, and Customer Success teams as well as senior leaders to build and enhance products from existing ideas/requirements and help develop new concepts based on industry research and the needs of customers and prospects. To optimize success, you will stay on top of current trends and develop long term plans for the success of Daon’s product line(s) by conducting market research including working in the field. Your primary focus will be to understand target audience needs and issues and identify innovative solutions for existing and new market segments.
Additionally, you will work with Sales and Marketing Support to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers, as well as serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for product offerings, working with the sales channel and key clients. Ultimately, you are responsible for the financial sustainability of the product, creating and updating profit and loss documents.
Essential Functions & Role Responsibilities:
You will be highly engaged in all aspects of a product including the coordination of activities across various departments. This extends from deepening the profitability and penetration of existing products to developing new products for the company. Specific responsibilities for this role include:

Contribute/assist in strategy development to develop a winning product in the voice authentication space.
- Focus your work around understanding and solving customer problems & challenges. Using this empathic approach, develop an iterative product enabling customers to realize immediate value while simultaneously solving for their longer-term product needs.
- Work closely with Daon Engineering and Research teams to effectively manage product requirements.
- Own the product backlog, driving priority decisions, ensuring we are delivering on agreed priorities and customer needs.
- Define product vision, positioning and promotion as well as Go-To-Market strategy.
- Manage the product line lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Proactively identify and resolve product issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
- Work closely with the marketing team to help with: developing positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation and enabling the sales and marketing teams to ensure they are aligned and work efficiently to generate and close opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with Daon’s Global Customer Support Services (CSS) to ensure the CSS team is well equipped with detailed knowledge of Daon’s product offerings, feature enhancements and new products as they are developed & released.
- Integrate market knowledge, strategic insight and a strong user focus to help our organization create in-demand products and tools.
- Implement and monitor product adoption using effective telemetry and engagement analytics.
- Prepare, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases.
- Analyze potential partner relationships for the product.
- Become subject matter expert in product markets and provide vision and leadership to technology R&D efforts.
- Be responsible for product launch and release plans, coordinate internal and external product launches working with marketing support and training teams.
- Help develop and deploy key market messages and communication strategies for the product line (including release notes, demonstrations, and improvement reports).
- Develop and when necessary, deliver concise and meaningful presentations for internal and external audiences, including education and training of sales staff, training of support groups, train the trainer programs, and presentations at symposia, trade shows, and key customer accounts.
Critical Success Factors – Knowledge & Experience:
- 5+ years of product experience (concept through go-to-market).
- Deep domain expertise with voice products and voice authentication.
- Knowledge/experience of biometrics.
- Experience working with partners on product integrations, messaging, and joint go-to-market
- Demonstrated success translating complex qualitative and quantitative customer feedback into successful products/features/
- Experience contributing to pricing strategies, preferably across a portfolio or platform of products or
- Both technically deep and business savvy to interface across levels and discipline
- Knowledge of implementing software development product process in line with market best practices.
- Understands implications of AI/voice trends across business & market.
- Proven leadership and highly developed organizational skills.
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to work independently and effectively in a results-oriented, efficient
- Naturally customer-centric, analytical, and thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires strong business judgment.
- He/she will have demonstrated success leading large scale projects/programs and technology-based solutions.
- Voice, text and intelligent voice assistant automation experience will be highly valued.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences.
- Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs concurrently and win their co-ownership in the outcome.
- Work experience with cloud contact center platforms - Genesys, Nice, AWS Connect or others.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
