Lydia's House of Hope (LHOH) is looking for
overnight residential staff
Friday Night at 7:00PM through
Sunday Night at 7:00 PM. The weekend staff is allowed to sleep overnight in the LHOH staff bedroom (10pm-6am) unless there is a crisis or situation needing urgent attention. The stipend for this position is $600 per weekend shift.
LHOH is a yearlong residential program for women and children who have experienced homelessness, domestic violence, substance misuse, trafficking, etc. Our residents benefit from wrap around supports including case management, nurse advocacy, trauma therapy, counseling, and over 50 life skills classes during the week. On weekends, our families attend family outings and go to church on Sundays.
Requirements:
- Responsible adult FEMALE with the confidence and initiative to manage and redirect residents as needed
- Previous experience working at a residential program preferred
- A motivated individual with the ability to handle conflict calmly, directly, and efficiently
- Must be organized and confident, with strong leadership skills
- Able to handle emergencies in an appropriate, safe and organized manner
- Able to maintain professional boundaries in an intimate setting
- Must pass Criminal Background/sex offender check/drug testing.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Oversee house activity and interact with residents and their children
- Monitoring, engaging and redirecting residents and activities as needed
- Hold Saturday AM house meetings with residents to go over weekend schedule & expectations
- Enforce resident schedules, including ensuring meal, laundry, and bathroom cleaning schedules & chore calendars.
- Respond to crises and follow outlined policies and procedures
- Communicate with weekend childcare & activity volunteers
- Enlisting proper safety and security measures as instructed
- Perform frequent rounds & maintain knowledge of whereabouts of each resident
- Maintain log of daily events/occurrences/concerns
- Document notes after each shift for case manager review
- Attend in-person/virtual staff meetings once per quarter
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma and secondary school or adult learning preferred
- Must have valid NH Driver's License and a good driving record
- Must have 2 working references
- Able to support and uphold the mission, vision, goals and value of Seeds of Faith, Inc and Lydia's House of Hope
