JOB PURPOSE:
Provide support for scheduling and order fulfillment in fiber production to ensure material availability and timely delivery.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Management, or related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 3 years of supply chain or manufacturing experience.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Observe and promote facility safety procedures and culture
- Plans and communicates production schedules to sales, leadership, and floor personnel.
- Monitors progress to ensure the schedule is being met. Part of the team that will troubleshoot problems that occur during production including staff, material shortages and unexpected delays.
- Determine, monitor, and maintain proper levels of raw and finished goods.
- Communicate with sales and engineering to understand customer requirements.
- Works closely with sales, logistics, and production to ensure sales orders ship on time.
- Creates, reviews, released and reports the progress of production orders.
- Prepares reports about production processes for management.
- Recommends and implements improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and engineer documentation.
- Performs inventory counts and adjustments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Proven experience in planning and forecasting within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project management.
- Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction.
- Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products.
- Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.
- Works to influence others to accept individual or team’s views or practices and changes to concepts, practices and approaches.
- May conduct briefings with leaders.
- Implements strategic goals established by leadership.
- Establishes operational plans for job area with short-term impact on results (e.g., less than 1 year).
