Residential Electrical Consultant
An Electrical consultant is a sales professional who works for companies in the Electrical industry. Their primary responsibility is to sell Electrical services to residential and commercial customers.
Key Sub Tasks
- Generating leads: An Electrical Consultant must actively seek out potential customers through various means such as online advertising, direct mail, and networking events.
- Conducting consultations: Once a potential customer expresses interest, the Electrical Consultant will conduct a consultation to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Providing estimates: Based on the consultation, the Electrical Consultant will provide an estimate for the Electrical services.
- Closing sales: The Electrical Consultant is responsible for closing sales and converting potential customers into actual customers.
- Maintaining relationships: The Electrical Consultant will maintain relationships with existing customers and ensure their satisfaction with the product or service.
- Staying up-to-date: An Electrical Consultant must stay up-to-date with the latest Electrical industry trends.
- Meeting sales targets: An Electrical Consultant will be expected to meet monthly or quarterly sales targets.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Electrical Knowledge: You should have a strong understanding of Electrical systems and components, including Electrical panels, wiring, generators, outlets, and EV chargers.
- Sales Skills: Electrical Consultants are responsible for selling Electrical services to clients, so you should have excellent sales skills, including the ability to identify customer needs, present solutions, and close deals.
- Communication Skills: You must be able to effectively communicate with clients, including explaining technical information in a way that is easy for non-technical people to understand.
- Technical Skills: You should be familiar with Electrical principles and be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Customer Service: You should have excellent customer service skills, including the ability to build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and address their concerns.
- Time Management: You must be able to manage your time effectively, including scheduling appointments, meeting with clients, and following up on leads.
- Problem-Solving Skills: You should be able to analyze Electrical problems and recommend appropriate solutions. This includes opening electrical panels and troubleshooting potential issues with electrical circuits.
- Attention to Detail: You must have strong attention to detail, including being able to identify potential issues and accurately document client information.
- Physical Abilities: You may need to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in tight spaces, so physical fitness is important.

- You will be provided a base salary in addition to commission for the first 60 days. After 60 days you will be 100% commission-based position giving you unlimited earning potential.
- You will run marketed leads and tech turnovers. This is an on-demand position and you will have to be available to run leads during normal business hours and will need to be available to run after hours when needed.
