The position of Licensed Associate Counselor at MIKID is a crucial role that contributes to the implementation, growth, and development of the organization's services throughout Arizona. Reporting to the Statewide Clinical Director, the Licensed Associate Counselor is responsible for maintaining the highest quality of clinical services and support for individuals and families. This multifaceted role involves various essential job functions, including providing regular reports to the Clinical Director, acting as a liaison between MIKID and other entities, offering services such as crisis intervention and counseling, and ensuring accurate clinical records.
Candidates for this position should possess a master's degree, an associate license (with LASAC or LAC preferred), and relevant experience in mental health and substance abuse. Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, is preferred, along with generalist knowledge in various areas of behavioral health. Additionally, candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license, have basic typing/computer skills, and be willing to work flexible schedules. Physical requirements include the ability to operate a computer effectively and occasionally move about the office or travel for up to six hours a day.
